[SOLVED] Arrow keys not working on frontend was created by Oceanoftears
I installed Joomla 1.7 with CB 1.7, GroupJive 2.4RC2, Kunena 1.7 and uddeIM. Now that I finally got the website up and running, nobody can use the arrow keys (up,down, left, right) on the Frontend e.g. Forum, PM or Groupjive. It works fine on the backend. I hope you can help me to get this solved and I would appreciate any suggestion.

Arrow keys? Like on a users keyboard? Of course they don't do anything. What are you expecting them to do?

Yes on the keyboard. I expect them to move the cursor when you type any text in the forum or any other place like PMs, just like it works in here. But the only way to move the cursor is via mouse click.

Never heard of such an issue. Please PM backend super administrator credentials so may take a look.

Have reviewed your install and the reason the arrows do not work is because your template is highjacking the keys to scroll the background image. Setting "Show Animated Background" under "Background and Patterns Options" to "No" in your template configuration resolves the issue. Please contact your template developer for further support. It should be a relatively minor JS update from their end to check if the cursor is in an input box or not.
