[SOLVED] dev site for CB SUbs was created by ellare
Hi
I am developing a site on a dev url like "mysite.com/dev"
eventually I want to move this CB site with CBSubs to "clientsite.com"
Will I have to manually change anything? Currently in the CBSubs settings - everything is pointing/showing the dev site location at "mysite.com/dev"

The license is floating, simply move it to the live install and it'll continue to function. If you should have any problems after the move then please let us know. A license is permitted to 1 development (avoid large user counts and live purchases, user test modes for gateways) and 1 live site at the same time.

ok so if I leave the CBsubs install on "mysite.com/dev" and copy over dev site to live URL - will subs still be pointing to "mysite.com.dev" ? therefore i couldnt delete that directory on my server?
I haven't see where to manually delete/edit the server location - i assume when i copy over the site to the live URL - all that will change too on the Subs Settings page.

in moving it over the live site...
I'm having to unzipp the compressed akeeba backup.
in the unzipping, my extractor is asking for all sorts of passwords for the cbsub plug ins. everything i have used for PW is not working.
how do i get around this?

well bummer! I used Akeeba backup to copy dev site and install on Live URL.
Community Builder didn't quite install right. The admin 'menu group panel' is not there and CBSubs is not there at all!
a lot of my stuff didn't transfer over right
.... which might all be related to akeeba .....
so I am also going to try an old fashioned backup and install

well ... I am GLAD to report that the old fashioned copy-&-install worked!
