How to look up whether i'm connected another user

12 years 2 months ago #191736 by lbra02
Hi,

To avoid using the connection menu on profiles I've created an "Add connection" field using a delimiter field (As described somewhere else in the forums) however once a connection has been established this link just shows up a blank javascript pop-up.

What i'd like is some sort of special handling in cases where the logged in user is already connected to the displayed user. Either the javascript pop-up should show "You're already connected" or (preferably) the "Add connection" link should be disabled or the text should change to "Already connected".

Is there an (easy) way to look up whether I'm (directly) connected to a displayed user?

Thanks in advance

Lasse

Probably best way to do that is use a CB Query Field to query the database to see if the view user is connected to the displayed user. Then use that query field in a CB IF substitution to show/hide the Add connection based off the query results.
