Slashes being add to search fields in user list

Im having problem in the user list page with slashes being added to text search field when someone is using the filter.

We have a field called height,when the user enter a search criteria like 5'11,they get the right results,but when they go to the second page slashes started to get added to the height field like this 5\'11 and this 5\\'11 on the third page result and so on...

Some help will be really appreciated.

What versions Joomla, CB?
Is the user list public?
If yes please post URL so we can see.

Joomla version is 1.5.26

Please upgrade to CB 1.8.1 and see if this fixes the issue.
