Hide Tabs in Edit Profile?

Is there a setting I'm unaware of that hides certain tabs when a user in his "Edit Profile" area? I would like to hide "Subscriptions" & "Forum". The tabs appear blank, so there doesn't appear to be anything to update. Is there supposed to be something?

turn off privacy on your Subscriptions tab - you do not need it as the Subscriptions tab is only shown if user is seeing his own tab (or if user is admin).

Also it looks like you added fields to the Forum tab - so in edit mode the tab is shown because you have to edit fields it has in it.
