Username is an email address

Hi, I have a problem with my account on joomlapolis itself: my username is currently an email address, so when trying to retrieve a password I get an error in the form "enter a valid username". I finally have been able to remember my password (miraculously) and now I would like to change my username to something else but it does not allow me to change it. (the field is grayed).
