Integrate the module into CB.

Integrate the module into CB. was created by BabelWolle
Hello,

I know how to install the regular modules, but I don't want them in the Joomla locations. I want them in the Control Center (CB).

For example, the user status is located there (see image).

I just haven't figured out how. Or is it not possible to position modules there?

Gruß Wolle

Create a Custom HTML field and then set "Prepare content using CMS Content plugins" to "Yes" under the Parameters tab. Next just add a module shortcode to your HTML and it'll display your module. See the below on how to use the module shortcodes.

I don't understand how to insert a shortcode. I do that in some posts myself.

It's also possible that my English is very poor, which is why the German translation is difficult for me to understand.

Please see the linked article on how to use module shortcodes. Below is the older documentation, but still relevant, if that's easier to understand.

docs.joomla.org/How_do_you_put_a_module_inside_an_article%3F

You basically just add the following to your Custom HTML field

{loadmoduleid YOUR_MODULE_ID_HERE}

Module ID can be found in Content > Site Modules in the far right ID column. So for example the following.

{loadmoduleid 32}

This would load in the module with an id of 32.

I think we misunderstood each other.

I know how to add a module to an article.

What I mean is, for example, in My Profile on CB, the modules should be displayed on the right side of CB, not outside on the right. So to speak, the My Profile cover should be above the modules.

I've drawn it now. See image.

The tutorial is just to explain how to use the loadmodule and loadposition shortcodes. Those will work in a Custom HTML field once you've toggled on "Prepare content using CMS Content plugins" under its Parameters tab. This will allow you to load a module in as a field.

You can then place that field on whatever tab you want and that tab can be in whatever profile position you want. Edit the "Default" template within CB > Plugin Management then under the Layout tab you can find a map of profile positions for your tabs if you're unsure what position to put your tab in.
