Uddeim search messages

Hi

Is there a "search message" function in Uddeim.
It's a standard function for a message system but I can't seem to find it in Uddeim?

Install the search plugin and use Joomla search.

I don't use joomla search as I don't want users to be able to search articles...
is there other way to get the search messages functionality ?

PS. It would be better to have a inbuild component search instead of using modules etc..
