german admin files are saved in ansi producing symbol errors.

there are 2 language folder ut8 and ansi. I deleted ansi and renamed utf8 to "language".

that fixes the issue.

Please check the system tab. There is a switch that allows to choose between ANSI and UTF8 encoding.

DO NOT RENAME THE FOLDERS!

Usually UTF8 should be used on Joomla 1.5+ by default.

Hi OK I see.

ANSI is marked as default but it should really be UTF8.

Also I didnt see the option properly because its doesnt say ANSI it just says default.

My Suggestion place UTF8 as default like "default (UTF8)" "ANSI".

I get some strange formating in messages:

like: rnrn

I think this replaces a space?

When this appears when you use the Quick Message box (uddeIM PMS plugin) then you should check the FAQ and/or the plugin settings.
