CB and Joomla 1.0.7

An update:

Using the Joomla registration module, all works fine. However, using the CB registration module I get that error about method not allowed.

Additionally, I get the same error message when trying to send a password reminder - yet it does work using the Joomla password reminder function.

This would indicate to me that there is a compatibility issue between CB RC2 and Joomla 1.0.7

I will be happy to try any patches needed from CB to resolve this.

Hello,

I cannot replicate this error, BUT I can report I am also having trouble with this combination (J1.0.7 and CB1.0 RC2) having done the 1.0.5 --> 1.0.7 upgrade patch. I did use the database.php that was included in that upgrade patch. I had previously installed the database.php J/CB compatibility patch on this forum for Joomla 1.0.5

My trouble: is with LOST PASSWORD: two things I see now; the obvious one, when requesting replacement for a lost pw that itemid=999999999 and I am seeing on the screen "the page you are trying to access does not exist..." and now the less obvious one: that the replacement password email which is sent does not include a site value for the message. It says "a request has come from a user at...blank spaces.. for new password -- gives the PW and all is working well after that.

I am presently trying to get some help at CBNewbies, but nothing yet. Maybe I am posting incorrectly.

This was an identified bug in previous version of Joomla and was reported fixed.

I do not know that this will help directly you but maybe these are somehow related and someone can put it all together!

If nothing else, could someone with similar setup see if their LOST PASSWORD process is correct?? Works in Joomla.

I too would be happy to try any patches anyone might suggest. Not good enough yet to create them myself but am getting there!

Thanks,
MJackson

When you loose itemids its usually a good idea to delete the component link from the menu and create a new one.

Maybe the other values come back too. ?

I will probably work with it a bit more tonight, I did uninstall CB, then mre-apply the patches and re-installed CB. I noticed that wne uninstalling CB the data associated with CB was not removed from the databases, so the same data was still there when I re-installed it.

I guess tonight I will uninstall it again, remove the tables related to CB and try once more. If that doesn't solve the problem, I guess I will just have to lose everything and start from scratch with Joomla 1.0.4 :(

Hi!

I'm new at this forum and i just wanna know if the bug founded with the upgrade of CB and Joomla 1.0.5 is now fixed with this new release (Joomla 1.0.7), it appears that there's no new info in this site so, i just wanna know if someone of the CB team has tested it succesfully.

I manage two sites with CB one with more than 500 subscriptions and the other is a really big commercial-gobernamental (is it correct the word? he he he) and we expect about 10 000 people in the site at least in June so i really wanna know if the bug is fixed.

Another question is: can i hide, change or at least modify the languaje of the community-about community builder?

Thank you and a big metaller hail to the dev. team!

I have had no problem with 1.07 and CBRC2.

You can remove the "about community builder" button -- check the CB administrator congif.
