[SOLVED] Users cannot edit their profiles

Please i am having the same problem . i recieve this error .
"You cannot edit a `Registered`. Only higher-level users have this power." when trying to edit user profiles.

i have upgraded cb and joomla recently to latest versions.
Please help

I feel your pain. I was unable to pinpoint the cause. If you have time to waste you can search for it, but i found that just overwriting the install of CB took care of the issue. Just back up everything and restore your css and language files and it should be a fairly quick process.

I'm having the same problem with user's not being able to edit or even see their own profile...it doesn't matter if it is an admin user...same result.
reinstalling the com_comprofiler didn't help as suggested in another post.

I think their is a bug in this program.

Difficult to come to the same conclusion as you, since I have no idea what your environment is.
What versions you have installed.
What extra stuff you have installed.

I can say that there is no such bug in CB 1.2.3 on my environments.

Please do not hijack a thread - start your own thread - give details about environment and exactly what you are seeing.

Otherwise no one can assist you.
