Update Failure

Hi Kyle,
Updated to Joomla 1.5.18 and problem persists with the same error message. I tried to install via FTP but the installer tells me it cannot find an install file in the directory

/administrator/components/com_installer/component/com_comprofiler

Is there an earlier version of the CBCaptcha plugin that does not require the CB update?

Hi Guys,
Panic over - sort of! I have two versions of my website, development and live. All the stuff so far has been on the Dev site - still no luck, but after an update of Joomla core, the live site has updated CB and installed the Captcha plugin like clockwork! cannot understand why - the only differences between the two sites are - template (playing with different ones on the Dev site) and, of course, the location. Don't know what the problem is at all.

If working on your live site and not your dev site then pretty much guaranteed a permissions issue if the dev site is a local server. If on windows ensure the folders aren't Read Only.

Hi Kyle,
That seems logical - I'll have a look at folder permissions.

Were you able to find any results with your folder permissions?
