The database is setup to allow exactly what you're wanting. There's just no GUI for it. You'd need a new extension, plugin, or suppose GJ integration to display ALL posts as well as posting to ALL posts (store in database without a category/group ID for example). This is very doable, but am saying I won't be doing it. Doesn't mean it can't be done!
