Both are warnings and won't cause a 500 error, but they shouldn't be thrown to begin with which suggests your server may not be configured correctly for a Joomla environment.this error comes out on the management panel
Please review your server error logs for any fatal errors around the time of your site. If unsure how please contact your host. It's looking like there is likely a server configuration problem.I get 500 internal server error when I click on community builder configuration

Looks like it's a bug in Joomla it self. All of your warnings are coming from Joomlas session API. Below appears to confirm it's a bug as it's exactly what you're experiencing.

The bug seams to be due to a PHP session starting before Joomla can establish it, but CB doesn't start sessions and when it does it just calls Joomlas API to do so and there's no reason for CB to do this at configuration.
As for being unable to reach configuration all I'm seeing in your logs is a timeout, which appears to be a server configuration problem or due to the above bug. Recommend contacting your host as you appear to be on nginx which is having an upstream timeout and need to consult additional logs for what exactly is timing out. Check out similar issues below.

I can try taking a look if you PM backend super administrator credentials but it's unlikely I'll be able to do anything about it as it appears to be entirely server related.

Sorry, I don't understand. Community Builder firewall? There is no firewall in CB. You mean your servers security? Regardless of your servers security it shouldn't cause the page to error as it's probably just blocking the version check. You should be able to see the IP address being blocked at time of access. If you still need it directly please use our contact us form below to request it.
