Please try creating a user with an email address on the same domain as your website. I believe you're running into the below bug, which has been fixed for next release.

[EDIT]: It's not just CB that is failing. Joomla emails don't send either. For example Joomlas mass mailer doesn't work either. Believe you have your mail server settings misconfigured. Please re-review your Joomla global configuration for mail server.

Hello,

Thanks you for your suggestion of directions to explore.

I solve this issue by modifying my email setting in my general configuration > server, but without applying the patch forge.joomlapolis.com/issues/3093 (I tested with and without this patch).

I modifying my email setting like that:
Email server: Fonction mail PHP -> Serveur SMTP
Sender address : nothing -> [REMOVED]
Sender name : my_website_name
Access path to sendmail : /usr/sbin/sendmail
SMTP identification requested: No -> Yes
SMTP security: None
Port SMTP : 25 -> 587 (suggested by my host)
SMTP user: [REMOVED]
SMTP password: [REMOVED]
SMTP host : localhost -> [REMOVED]

Anyway, my issue (no more emails to subscribers when activation, renewal, expiration, cancellation; no more emails when identifier or password lost; no more mass emails) appears after upgrading CB (from 1.4 to 1.7.1) and CBSubs (from 1.1.2 to 1.2.2).

So you're now receiving emails or is just Joomla emails working now?

Hello,

With my previous email configuration (mail PHP), Joomla emails worked perfectly.

Since CB and CBsubs upgrade, no more emails received except for newsletter.
With your help, I had to change my email configuration to SMTP in order to receive again emails in all cases (subscription emails, emails of id & pwd lost, CBs Mass Mailer).
So, now I'm receiving emails again.
