Hi,

I am facing the exact same problem.
If anyone comes out with a working solution, please let me know.

Thanks,

Nuno.

OK - a small update here.

I have looks at 2 sites that have reported this problem (also another 2 users have reported similar problems).

I have forwarded the issue and my findings to Beat to further investigate.

My opinion is that something is wrong-missing from the database. Since its not that wide spread I am assuming that something happened during installation on these sites.

Hopefully we will be able to find the cause and a quick workaround soon.

I'm going to reinstall CB this weekend and see if that fixes it.

Nant, Beat, et al, thanks for looking into this.

As for an update on my end, I tried uninstalling all of my CB 1.0 stable components and modules and reinstalling everything, with the same results (I've had two new registrations since I did that) -- new users don't show up in my CB user manager or my Joomla-issued user manager.

Again, thanks for your time and trouble!

My update (Beat is still looking into this).

For some reason (Beat?) the usertype column of the #_users table is not being updated for some rows/users.
This value should be the actual group of the member (Registered, Author, etc).

Also (probably for the same reason) the _core_acl_aro table is missing corresponding rows for the users that are not showing up.

If you manually update these rows (via phpmyadmin) you should be able to get things working again.

Now why this happened is a different story.

Sounds like something is messing things up.

Guys,

I fixed this problem on my site.

Here's what I did:

I looked at the com_comprofiler file on my server and saw it only had three php files in it. Seemed kinda meager for such a muscular component.

So I unpacked the comprofiler component locally and saw that there were about a dozen php files inside.

I uploaded the missing files into the com_comprofiler file with my FTP client.

I've tested it, and I even upgraded to Joomla 1.0.9, and it works -- new user registrations show up on my user list. (It also worked before I upgraded to Joomla 1.0.9.)

Thanks again for the help, guys. Hope this helps!!!
