I was having an issue in IE6 after I went to joomla! 1.0.10 from 1.0.8 (CB 1.0 Stable) where I would log in from the frontend and it would loop back to the same page, acting as though no one was logged in. When I logged into the backend and looked at the Components-CB->User Management I could see that from there it had me showing as logged in. The problem is how Joomla is handling (or not handling, rather) alternate site names. The workaround is to set a redirect. I found that if you tick both Use Alias and Exlude then you could make a URL link menu item to your profile (e.g. mysite.com/profile/) and still have the registration to work.

Just thought someone out there might find it usefull
