Plugin for Language

Plugin for Language was created by 4creator
Hello,

I am not good at English, so I may use strange expressions.

I imitate language/default_language, and I am trying to make an individual language.

First, I changed only the following (default_language.xml);
[code:1]
<name>default_language</name>
<filename plugin="default_language">default_language.php</filename>
[/code:1]

Of course, I changed file name to an individual language name (default_language.xml, default_language.php).

Next, I made Zip file for my individual language directory. Then I uploaded to that via CB Plugin Manager.

Then, it was indicated as follows;

Upload showPlugins - Failed
Plugin version (1.2) different from Community Builder version (1.2 RC)

Will you please point out any mistakes to me.

Thanks

Hi nant,

Thank you for your replay.
I could install default_language as Japanese. I will translate little by little, and I will upload through FTP-software.

I tried to translate CBLogin relations first. But it still show English.
I read this...

Also, CB Langauge plugins are JoomlaFish ready, so changing the language via front-end Joomlafish module will automatically activate the appropriate CB Language plugin.

I have already installed JoomFish 2(bata). I am using mod_jflanguageselection2.0beta, but...

Could you give me some advice please?

Community Builder has ITS OWN way to handle internationalization. It is just not the standard Joomla! way.

I ended up using language files. Mainly due to the fact that translating selects with joomfish proved to be next to impossible.

Is this issue (changing the language) of CB? or JoomFish?

I searched posts about this issue, but I haven't found that solution yet. If you have a solution, let me know that please.

Thanks,
Hideto

Hello again,

I disabled all of JoomFish (Components, Modules, Plugins). But CB doesn't show my language on Frontend. However, when I accessed CB User Manager (admin side), it showed my language.

I guess CB may have issues on frontend about language.

How do you think?

Thanks,
(sorry for my broken-English)

---My details
- Joomla! 1.5.3
- PHP Version 5.2.6
- utf8_general_ci

I haven't installed joomlafish 2.0 yet, but I have tested CB 1.2 language files with Joomla 1.5.3.

If I have both Joomla 1.5.3 language X installed and install the CB 1.2 X language plugin, then by changing the default language on backend, I get the appropriate translation.

Also, if I set the frontend language for a specific user, it appears just fine.

Will test again of course, but things seem to work - need to try joomlafish.
