Together with error messages during update:
Notice
mysql 5.0.67 is not supported. Minimum required version is mysql 5.6, but it is higly recommended to use mysql 5.5 or later.

Before updating ensure that the update is compatible with your Joomla! installation.

Was this mentioned somewhere? According to this message minimum is higher than recommended, which doesn't make sense.
What are the minimum requirements? Any changes in PHP as well?

/Sven

We require a minimum of MYSQL 5.1. That error is coming from our package installer script. See the below technical requirements that you can find directly in the download description of CB.

Joomla 3.3++/2.5+
PHP 5.3.3+
MYSQL 5.1+
cURL must be enabled

Thanks for quick reply.

I don't have Kunena and the message is shown when trying to update CB using Joomla updater. See attached screenshot.

It's not a big issue, I asked the webhotel to upgrade the mySQL database to 5.5.

It's coming from CBs package installer script. Didn't see it in my searches as it was outside my phpstorm project. Please see my above edits for requirements.

Mysql 5.1 is a prerequisites for CB 2.x, and also a prerequisite of Joomla 3.x:

docs.joomla.org/J3.x:Installing_Joomla

I'm fixing the message which should have shown 5.1 as minimum and 5.6 as recommended (issue #5257 ).
