Below is CB Activity 3.0.0 RC2 progress. It's the implementation of the Links feature, which parses URLs into attachments to display with your status.



It supports unlimited links being attached to a post with a parameter to set the maximum as needed (default 5). The title and description of a link can be edited after save, but the idea is to trust in the parsing (any URL with good metadata shouldn't need any further editing). Below is the edit display of links.

Not for quite some time. Notifications will be implemented when I've developed CB Notifications (as on-site notifications, not emails or PMS; that's too much spam). Hardcoding simple email/PMS notifications doesn't make sense until then as that can be handled by CB Auto Actions acting on the activity_onAfterCreateActivity trigger. I don't recommend sending emails though unless your domain can handle hundreds, maybe thousands, sending constantly (your site will likely be blacklisted by major mail servers as spammer though).

Below is CB Activity 3.0.0 RC2 progress update. It's the implementation of the Tags feature, which basically allows you to include people in your status posts. You can select from your connections or you can type in a name as needed. If a connection then it tags their user id and is able to link to their profile otherwise it just displays the name.




Both the Attachments and Tags usage are scheduled for RC2 release, which should be ready before end of next week.

I also want to implement displaying activity on your stream when you have been tagged as well as activity you've commented on, but unsure if that'll make it into RC2, but for sure RC3. The Locations feature has been pushed to RC3.

For RC2 we'll have to release a 2.0.8 nightly, which will be required as I spent a good bit of time making the upgrade jump to Select 2 4.0.0, which is a pretty major upgrade and allows for much better and slick tag usage you see above.
