Sorry... yes, I meant a valid email address that you receive mail through. To go further, some servers require that you use an actual email address instead of one that filters into a "catch-all" email. I hope I'm explaining okay.

Just for an example, say you have admin@yoursite.com set up to catch all email you don't have a specific address for. Instead of using whatever@yoursite.com that will be delivered through the admin address, some servers require you create a new email address for whatever@yoursite.com for it to work properly.

Ok . . .

Tried to send mass email and received the error below. I decided to check my global mail settings and noticed the smtp set to localhost. Is that correct?

Since mass email doesn't work, this is a host setup issue. If you check your website host's FAQs and forums, you should find the proper setup on your site.

Mine is set to PHP Mail, and most of my email IDs require "@domain.com" (i.e.- admin@mydomain.com is the username, as well as the email address). localhost is what I have as host, and I believe this is pretty standard. Double-check also that you have the correct password filled in... it is case-sensitive. Password123 is different than password123.

If you still have problems and can't find the answer, you should contact your host for support.
