my Webhost is runnning php4.4.8, i can switch to php5 but first i will test if the rest of Joomla with all the Plugins and Moduls is running with php5

I switched from php4 to php5, and that seems the trick.
Now I have some other issues to resolve with my provider and "persuade" him to change some settings.

I still have since RC4 that I cannot open my own profile when logged in. But that is reported in another topic.
