Changing a members' registration date

Changing a members' registration date was created by mike5151
Hi All

I have a situation with one of my clients where we have a largish CB Subs installation working well for them for the last 10 months. The client has now informed us of 'members' who had made payments in cash some 6 months ago but who had not 'registered' on the club website. They have now registered and the payments have been matched.
Is it possible to now change their 'registration date' to the date that they made the payment (ie September 2012) as opposed to the date that they actually registered and 'subscribed' via the website (March 2013).
This is important as the subscription recurs and if no changes are made then these members will appear to be getting almost a season of membership for free.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards

Mike

Registration date doesn't have any affect on subscription calculations. You could use the import feature to import their subscription and specify the subscribed date in 2012 of September, but I can see why you'd want to also match up the registration date and only way to do that is edit it directly in _users database as Joomla nor CB allow registration date to be edited.

OK Krileon - thanks for that input. Which table must I change in the database to affect the subscription renewal calculation? I have had a poke around but would appreciate your confirmation.

Kind regards

Expiration, renewal, etc.. is all calculated precisely. You should import the subscription with the proper subscription date already set so it'll have the correct expiration, etc.. as needed. Users subscription data can be edited within CBSubs > Subscriptions by clicking the id of the subscription under the ID column, but I do not advise doing this as you could easily break the subscription for the user.
