[SOLVED] GJ 3.0 Video not playing was created by cliffvt
Hi There, installed latest nightly release of GJ 3.0 and when we load a YouTube video, from the front end users cannot play but just see a Download link.. (see example)
Any ideas?

Are you sure the link is a valid youtube URL? Is there any JS errors in the browser console (press F12 to open the developer tools)? What browser are you using?

Thanks for getting back. Yes the vidoes are valid (i now this as I can press on the URL below the blank video window and it takes me to the Video on YouTube in a new window)
Tried all browsers
Using Firefox 45.0
F12 - the only one that cpmes up is "Error in parsing value for 'top'. Declaration dropped." and JQMIGRATE: Logging is active

Seams to be working ok in my tests. Don't see any issues based off your browser log. Please PM backend super administrator login credentials and will take a look.

The flash player for CBs mediaelementjs usage is found below.
/components/com_comprofiler/js/jquery/flashmediaelement.swf
Your install is trying to use the following, which it's failing to find.
/media/widgetkit/widgets/mediaplayer/mediaelement/flashmediaelement.swf
Looks like 3rd party installed extension widgetkit also comes with mediaelementjs and they're conflicting. Disabling "System - Widgetkit" solves the issue, but you'll need to review your install carefully to see what that potentially breaks. I don't have a solution for the conflict at this time other than widgetkit fixing their pathing to their swf file, which should allow it to work. Alternatively leave "System - Widgetkit" disabled.

Thank you very much for this. Disabling Widgetkit disables the YooTheme Widgetkit media player and flash related content on the site.
I have posted a request in the YooTheme support forum for them to fix this, and disabled it in the meantime...
