Hi
I'm trying to get rid of CB Menu to simplify the display and have moved lots of things to action tab and stats tab
Is there a button somewhere to request a connection on another profile viewed ?
I found likes, following but cannot find the connection one ?

The connection path tab can show a button to do that. You can also just make a button of your own using a Custom HTML field then condition it using CB Conditional to make sure they're not already connected and that the viewing user is logged in. The URL to add a connection is as follows.

It shouldn't be possible to uninstall it. Its default name is "Connection Paths" in CB > Tab Management and its default id is 18. It was maybe just renamed?
