I may have set something up incorrectly when I set up an upgrade plan that existing users from either a free or paid plan can upgrade to a new paid plan.  I went live with this tonight and discovered some users ended up with both subscriptions instead of just the one they upgraded to.

I had set up this condition to make sure users only in certain plans can upgrade, but I think I may have done it incorrectly.   Should I have selected Must be in state to be  "Upgraded to other" instead of Active? Is this why they've ended up with both plans?

If it matters, the original plan they were in was an annual one that is renewable ans expires June 30, 2026.  The upgraded plan has the same expiry date but is not renewable.

Upgrades only apply if both plans are marked Exclusive. Non-Exclusive plans can be combined with one another. The "Must be in state" is exactly as it reads. Your "Adult-Plan" "must be in state" "Active" to upgrade to the plan you're editing. Your settings look correct and I'm guessing your issue is due to your plan not being marked Exclusive.

Got it.   I'll take a look at that exclusive setting.

1. So, if the user has ended up with 2 plans ans one is renewable, and the second one isn't at the expiry date (They both expire at the same time), the renewable one will expire and be available as usual, while the second one just goes away?

2. When I change the setting to exclusive, what happens to users who already ended up with both plans?  Will the setting only take effect going forward for others?

Thanks!
