Problem with cb updating... was created by liaskas
Hello.
I checked the cb plugins today to see if we need any updates.

First thing i checked is "Configuration [CB Core]" where i have the following that shows that we are running the latest version...

Then i checked your download area CB latest version and i see that this is not the same with what we see on my cb configuration latest version.

So my guess is that my site has stopped receiving info about the CB updates.

I avoided to update CB manually because i am afraid that we are going to mess things up more.

I did click the "refresh now" button under the "Install from web" Updates and i get the following:

The supplied Site Key does not appear to be valid or has been disabled by administration. Your Site Key is domain strict and must match the domain provided by Joomla exactly, which would be your live_site value " www.mydomain.gr ". Please supply a valid Site Key within your Community Builder configuration then .
You do not appear to be logged into www.joomlapolis.com/ . This will cause Install from Web to treat you as a guest. Ensure you are logged in at www.joomlapolis.com/ and check browser settings to ensure 3rd party cookies are not blocked or consider generating a Site Key from your Joomlapolis profile and save it to your Community Builder configuration. Once you have logged in or set your Site Key .

But this is wrong! I copied and pasted again the site key from your site here, entered it in my CB configuration field and still does not work.

And i am logged in to your site!

Can you please help?

Thank you.

The previous post was resolved by creating new site key and adding it to the CB configuration. Then the "install from web" worked great.

On another site now... we have a different update issue.

We updated to the latest version of cb... and we get the following on all cb pages of backend:

Warning: file /home/xxx/public_html/xxx2.gr/administrator/components/com_comprofiler/pluginsfiles.tgz still exists. This is probably due to the fact that first installation step did not complete, or second installation step did not take place. If you are sure that first step has been performed, you need to execute second installation step before using CB. You can do this now by clicking here: please click here to continue next and last installation step.

We have performed CB updates several times on this site. This is the first time that this happens.

Can you please advise?

We updated to the latest version of cb... and we get the following on all cb pages of backend:

That usually means CB didn't install completely. Often because something interrupted it. Just install CB over the top of itself and that should try and clear it up.

Your server is blocking the HTTP request to the package installer. Do you have any security Joomla extensions installed or any new security features on your server toggled on recently? Best I can suggest is download manually from our downloads page, unzip the package installer, then install CB directly from the /extensions/packages folder of the package installer to bypass it, but you'll want to address whatever is blocking it at some point.
