Hello! 

My site is having an issue with logins suddenly.  It's worked for months and months.  I'm not sure what's changed, but whenever somebody tries to login, the site kinda goes wonky.   

I want to attach a screengrab of what happens but attachments never seem to work for a new topic in this forum.  Anyway, I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction (you've never failed me before!  

BTW:  I use CBPaidSubscriptions (and CCBill is my merchant services company).

Can you better describe what you mean by wonky? Doesn't login? Redirects to wrong place?

Hi!   :D

Well... I have a screenshot of what happens when I try to use the login (and the confusing part is that I'm logging into the front end as the Admin (superuser).   I can't get attachments to load to these replies.  

It would be a LOT to type.   It starts with two lines referring to the cbpaidPaymentBasket as "Deprecated".   And then the thing it says on the Site Debug Mode line is "CB Redirection without empty Output"

And then the message gives me a link to the main page.  But when I click on THAT it really looks crazy.   Possibly because it's in debug mode right now because of all the weirdness.  Then the page somehow resets itself in about twenty to twenty five minutes.

Ok, sounds like you turned on Joomla's debug mode. Within System > Global Configuration > System set "Debug System" to "No". I also recommend under Server to set "Error Reporting" to "None" for live sites.

I did have it on - but only to, you know, actually debug the problems I was facing.  Only AFTER the problems with the page were making themselves known.  I don't think having debug on was causing the problem.

Anyway, once I turned off debug and error reporting, I got THIS when I logged in:

"This page isn’t workingvisiblerestraint.com is currently unable to handle this request.HTTP ERROR 500"

The page works until I try to log in.  And then I get errors.  And the debug messages (when I had it on) all pointed to Community Builder. 

Here's my question, I guess:

What happens to my userdata if I temporarily unpublish Community Builder?  Joomla has all the relevant fields in ITS user management (Group, Enabled, Approved)... what I don't see on Joomla's list, mostly, is the "Confirmed" entry.   Does that go away if I temporarily unpublish CB?   If it IS a problem with CB, I'm going to have to troubleshoot it because  1. I really LIKE CB and 2. It works or has worked with CCBill (my merchant services company.

If you're getting a 500 fatal error then you should see that 500 error with debugging enabled. Simply provide the error and can help you further. I've no idea if it's a problem with CB as any extension can act on login events (Joomla's or CB's as both will trigger) and cause errors.

I don't think this has anything to do with CBSubs or CCBill as they don't really do anything during login. Especially the gateway plugin. CBSubs itself would only be checking for expirations or unpaid baskets and that's it.

Most likely it's a 3rd party extension or if you're using CB Auto Actions could be an auto action that you've configured causing an error.
