Please update to Kunena 7.x. You're an entire major Kunena release behind. It's possible there's a bug in Kunena incorrectly using onContentPrepare.

Unfortunately, this particular site is still running 4.414, and Kunena is not compatible with anything under Joomla 5.34.
Is it ok to stay with CB Content Bot 4.31 for now until the site can at least get up to 5.x? The server the site is on needs to be upgraded before I can do this, as it's running an outdated MySQL
Ok, found the cause. Joomla 4 regression bug. Stable releases for the following have been released to fix the issue.
CB Content Bot
CB Replacer Bot
CB Author Bot
I would strongly recommend migrating to at minimum Joomla 5 when possible. Joomla 4 is end-of-life so it's putting your site at risk.
We do not support Joomla 4 anymore for new development and when CB Framework starts rolling out into plugins we'll be discontinuing Joomla 4 support in existing development.

Much appreciated, Kyle. And yes, very sound advice about the delayed upgrade.
It's long overdue - I know I have been on borrowed time for a while but have been at the mercy of the server provider. The trick now is to set it up so I can run 4.x on the new server while preparing the upgrade to 5.x, so the specs have to temporarily accommodate both versions.
