Subject: Community Builder – Multiple Private Communities Within One PlatformWe have received an inquiry regarding the feasibility of supporting multiple independent communities within a single Community Builder installation.The proposed requirements are:
- Each organization would have its own private community (group), with a dedicated landing page and optional branding.
- Each organization would have designated moderators.
- Organization administrators should be able to invite users by email to register and join their respective communities.
- Invited users should be able to register for free and participate in their organization's private group discussions.
- Users should have the option to purchase a subscription through CBSubs, with the ability to add a predefined number of additional users (Family Plan) under their account.
- All organizations and users should operate within a single Joomla/Community Builder installation, with appropriate separation of community membership, content and administration.
Could you please advise:
- Whether these requirements can be implemented using existing CB, CB GroupJive and CBSubs functionality.
- Whether organization administrators can manage their own communities without Joomla backend access.
- Whether invited users can be automatically assigned to the appropriate private group following registration.
- Whether any additional plugins or custom development would be required.
We would prefer to use existing functionality wherever possible.Thank you for your guidance.
