My site is on Joomla! 5.3.0 and CB 2.10.0 with the Gantry 5 Hydrogen template. I am wondering why the eye icon button on the login module doesn't show the password. I am pretty sure this used to work.

Below is the code I see using Chrome Inspect.
Code:
<button type="button" class="btn btn-secondary input-password-toggle" clicklistener="true">   <span class="icon-eye icon-fw" aria-hidden="true"></span>   <span class="visually-hidden">Show Password</span> </button>

Thanks in advance for any insight.

Seams to be working fine for me using Joomla's default Cassiopeia template. Does it work for you after switching to the Cassiopeia template?

Hey Kyle,

Yes, it works properly under Cassiopeia. It also turns out it works properly with Gantry 5, but I am using a JCE Mediabox modal for my login box and it's not working there. I'll try another modal method if I can figure one out.

If you have any suggestions, I would love to hear them.

Thanks!
Bruce

When I remove the type=text/html attribute from the modal, it works. But the styling changes and no longer matches the template. Hmm...

Edit: removing the type also makes the modal captive instead of dismissing after logging in. So using type=text/html seems absolutely essential.

The modal is either breaking javascript bindings or it's loading in the module using the ajax endpoint and isn't parsing for headers. I'm not entirely sure. Either way there isn't anything we can do about this, sorry. Normally safest way to have login modals is to not move the elements at all, but just reposition them using CSS or JavaScript.
