multiple gateways

I have been checking on the demo site and I noticed something that I can't find any additional information on.  can I set up multiple gateways for the same service, as example: can I create 3 different paypal gateways tied into different accounts?  thinking of putting in paywalls for certian people so they can get subscriptions to their content but have them using their paypal account so that I never touch their money and it goes directly into their account and not mine. thus making them the merchant of record for the transaction and not me?

Yes.

While doable I don't particularly recommend this. You'd need information from their account to setup the PayPal gateway and their account should ideally be a business account.

Typically the recommended approach is to just issue payouts on a schedule of your choosing (frequently this is done monthly). Something like Stripe Connect can help facilitate automating this. We don't currently support Stripe Connect, but looks trivial to add since it's just 2 parameters to a few of the API calls. I could look into adding that if that'd interest you.

Yes they effectively would be the merchant with you being the platform.

wonderful! this is something difficult to find. with the new tax laws here in the usa this takes off a hugh burden for irs reporting and filing a 1099 for everyone who makes more than $600 a year
