backend edits are not saved to profiles using IE 8

I've tried to make several edits to user's profiles from the back-end. When you click Save, the changes do not save. I have seen this behavior on two completely separate machines on different networks.

Saves OK on Firefox.

32bit XP Pro and 64bit Vista

Same here using IE9 64bit @win7. Can confirm.

CB 1.4

This is a known issue. It's due to IE9 not being compatible with our version of jQuery which causes the new validation plugin to error and causing the save form to never submit. We'll be addressing with next release; simply run IE9 in compatibility mode. Could not confirm on IE8 so assume was a typo in subject.

No typo. DOES happen in IE8.

Please run windows update and confirm if you've an update available. I can't confirm your issue in IE8. Please also test if compatibility mode will resolve your issue (required for IE9).
