My team needs to be able to add custom fields to the categories and groups made by GroupJive. Our quick read over the FAQ's and some preliminary google as well as forum searches did not turn up anything. Can you point us in the right directions. (joomla version 1.5.23)
Please review any of the existing integrations for GJ. They all add new fields to categories or groups through the API. You'll need a new CB plugin, which utilizes GJs triggers.
