[SOLVED] how to install cb & how to creat create directory

12 years 7 months ago - 12 years 7 months ago #175427 by nticxs
Versión de joomla: 1.5.23
Versión CB: 1.7

Warning after first installation:

Warning: file <span>/</span>home<span>/</span>www.myweb.com/administrator/components/com_comprofiler/pluginsfiles.tgz
still exists. This is probably due to the fact that first installation
step did not complete, or second installation step did not take place.
If you are sure that first step has been performed, you need to
execute second installation step before using CB. You can do this now
by clicking here: please click here to continue next and last
installation step.

The next message is:

Unable to create directory
'<span>/</span>home<span>/</span>www.myweb.com/tmp/install_4e673d0ce2134/language/'Unable
to create path for
<span>/</span>home<span>/</span>xarxaciutat.olot.cat/tmp/install_4e673d0ce2134/language/
Installer - Error
Uncompressing <span>/</span>home<span>/</span>www.myewb.com/administrator/components/com_comprofiler/pluginsfiles.tgz
failed.

Looks like a permissions issue. Please ensure the /tmp folder has appropriate permissions (777, 775, or 755).

Thank you, krileon.

I tried with the permissions (777), but the error persists. I have done different combinations (Joomla 1.5.23 + CB 1.7, CB Joo1.7 + 1.4; Joo1.5.23, CB 1.4; Joo1.7 + CB1.7) and still not working. It may be that the server memory is not enough?.

I have also raised migrate an entire installation, but I fear encounter the same problem when decompressing.

Thanks for your help.

Please check that PHP Safe Mode is not enabled as this could cause problems as well. You'd need to contact your host on disabling this if it is enabled.

Just that!. Administrator disabled PHP Safe Mode and the problem was solved.

Thank you very much, Krileon.
