The member's guest avatar does not appear in the invitation tab.

Invites tab doesn't have avatar display in GJ 2.4, that's implemented in GJ 2.5.

Because you don't have the formatname field configured properly. Running GJ Tools should inform you of this. The formatname field needs to be displayed on profile and on a tab that is public and published. The tab it's on can be in a not shown on profile position however.
