can I user the firstname, lastname in an article?

I've searched, but can't find if there is anyway I can reference the CB firstname in an articel,
i.e welcome them when they log on with Dear Peter, blah blah

thanks for that - I downloaded and installed it. took a bit of guessing the parameters as every example didn't work,
but eventually using:

Welcome {cb:[firstname]},


worked. I would like to know how the do a conditional test as when the member is not logged on it just displays the actual word "first name" so a test to check its first name and then not do want thin would be great.

again the documentation is woefully not there

Please see tutorials within my signature. You can do this with the below using IF substitutions.

Welcome {cb:[cb:if user="#me" user_id>"0"][firstname][/cb:if][cb:if user="#me" user_id<="0"]Guest[/cb:if]},

The above should display "Welcome Guest," if not logged in and if logged in should display "Welcome NAME,".
