Is it possible to link to cb user profiles in joomla content / articles when you click on the name of a user? It only goers to contacts, not to cb...?

Depends on the Joomla version. J1.5 fixed it so you can't supply HTML links without a ton of work arounds and I suspect J1.6+ is the exact same. You're welcome to check Joomla.org extension directory for a possible solution as we don't provide an official plugin to do this.
