I have several Lists on my Community Builder sites. Some of my clients want to be able to SEARCH by the fields on the list (which CB can do), however, the "Search Users" link is below the drop down menu of the various lists and gets LOST to many users. When you click on "Search Users" link, the search fields appear. Is there a way to customize Community Builder to SHOW the Search Fields options on the page by default. In other words, I want the search FIELDS themselves to show up by default...

That would be most helpful...thanks, Tim

If on J1.5 simply edit your Joomla menu link to CBs userlist to display the searchmode. If you're on J1.7 then please edit your userlist from backend for the searchmode URL. Unfortunately you can't display search results and search mode at the same time unless search criteria was specified otherwise it'd just collapse the searchmode.

Thanks, this is helpful. Maybe for a future product update, if you could also display a list AND the expanded Search feature, that would be a good improvement. Thanks again for this solution...this really helps, Tim

I have a client asking for the exact same thing. I need to go to a list URL with the search slider open, not collapsed? Any way to do that?

If on J1.5 just set the search parameter when editing the userlist. If on J1.6 or better then you'll need to edit your userlist and copy the "URL for search link to this list:" link to a Joomla external menu link.

I am still using Joomla 1.5.25...To clarify, I can set ONLY the search parameters to show up or a list...not both. For example, if I have a list selected and select the "Search users" below the dropdown of the various lists, the search feature shows up and pushes my current list down the page...both the search and the list are present. Is there a way to show a default list with the search feature enabled as a default page? Thanks, Tim
