HI. Cannot seem to find what seems to be the most obvious content addon: Weblinks.

I want my CB users only to be able to maintain a list of suggested links for visitors to the site. Is this something I simply need to create in CB or is there already something out there that I just cannot find?

Wouldn't Joomla > Components > Weblinks provide what you're looking for?

If you are using the CB Auto Action from the Community Builder Incubator forge you would be able to assign your newly-registered users to a 'Submit/Edit Weblink' ACL group which would give you even more permission control.

1. CB users belonging to the Joomla ACL group 'Link Editors' would be able to edit the links.
2. Users belonging to the Joomla ACL group 'Link Submitters' would be able to submit, etc.

Im not sure I explained myself well enough.

Yes, with joomla 2.5 I can allow a user group to add links to any number of categories. But this is not going to help me, because the users will need to create categories to keep them sorted, and I dont see how front end users can create categories for their links.

Also, Im more interested in the user profile area, so that a user creates a weblink or say up to 5 about a specific theme. (This theme is actually linked in another plugin to mosets) What I want is a user to click on a tab called Web links, just like they can for photo galleries, articles, etc. and see a list of say 5 or 10 links.

Do I need to create all this inside CB? Am I able to create the necessary online forms for web link submission and publication for users, and display them for visitor? Where do I go to read up on all this?

I think this is closer to what I want to do. Create a space inside CB to allow registered users (actually, a defined group within CB) to be able to create some links that are available for viewing inside a tab.

Where do I start to find out how this is done?
