Are there any plans for more connection-path configuration features? I mean some display options or template support? I would like to ...:

- show/hide some informations
- turn ON/OFF the tooltip
- even better: templates or overrides
(with selectable output templates, one could change the usernames to an avatar-only display... or a vertical layout etc. etc. ;-)

Maybe someone else has already made some modifications like this?

Yes, CB 2.0 will be getting a completely new connections system. Likely with that will be more intuitive pathing. This is not likely to change with a CB 1.x release.
