[SOLVED] Auto Article creation upon plan subscription

12 years 2 months ago #194511 by raniko
Good morning. Sorry to be firing out questions first thing in the am and last thing at night :). Getting close to beta and trying to tighten up lose ends... anyway,

the "userdatafield: was a typo on my part... in my article it was written as

{cb:[userdata field="cb_businesssummary" user="126"/]}

and rendered [userdata field="cb_businesssummary" user="126"/]

Using the substitution that you just proposed below:

{cb:[cb:userfield user="126" field="cb_businesssumary" /]}

Renders: [cb:userfield user="126" field="cb_businesssumary" /]

It looks like the code is not getting through for some reason. Only the simplest raw form actually renders the cb_businesssumary field correctly...

{cb:[cb_businesssummary]} (this works)

Can you provide any further guidance as to why this might occur? Thanks for all of the help. Oh, CB1.8, j1.7.5 and cb subs 1.3rc1

Thanks again. I would love to get this working.

No idea, what I've supplied is working. I've just tested the below and it displays fine for example.

{cb:[cb:userfield field="formatname" reason="list" /]}

Maybe try other fields to see if it's just that field specifically that's causing problems?

I tried a bunch of other fields.... All had the same effect. The Raw simple display works, but anything beyond that just shows the text of everything between the {cb:}.... Is it possible there is a conflict with something? I tried publishing/unpublishing other plugins, but nothing worked. Is it possible the editor or joomla is stripping away or ignoring the code due to some settings? If not, do you think might be able to take a look and see if there is anything else going on? Many thanks.

Please PM backend super administrator login credentials and will take a look. Please also provide the name of the article you're trying to add substitutions to.

I've fixed all your other substitutions, but looks like those with "user" are not working. I was able to confirm them not working locally as well and have created the below bug ticket for further investigation.

forge.joomlapolis.com/issues/3359

Was able to review further in source and it's due to the order of the variables. The user variable MUST come after the field variable. Examples as follows.

{cb:[cb:userfield field="formatname" user="123" reason="list" /]}

I've already fixed the usages on your site and confirmed working. Please also confirm they're all working now.
