Changing Domain alias for Groupjive

Changing Domain alias for Groupjive was created by gunblaze
Hi. I've got 2 Questions.

1) As per stated in title,

currently, my group's page is as follows:
http://my site.com/.../pluginclass?plugin=cbgroupjive&action=groups&func=show&cat=1&grp=1

is there anyway i can change the alias to take away all after "pluginclass?". Meaning changing it to:
http://my site.com/.../createdgroups=show&cat=1&grp=1 or something even simpler will be good.

2) Is there anyway i can add fields to my groupjive group about page? Doesn't have to do it in the backend, maybe adding a field to database and do some simple coding. Just need to know how.

Thanks for any help.

Without a custom .htaccess rule, nope. Well some 3rd party SEF extensions can, but it's best to rewrite it with .htaccess.

Nope, custom fields for GJ are not yet supported. Planned for a future release. If you want custom fields for now you'd have to develop a new integration plugin (similar to how current integrations add fields to group edit).

okay. So this is what i did.

RewriteRule ^([A-Za-z0-9-]+)/([A-Za-z0-9-]+)?$ pluginclass?plugin=cbgroupjive&action=groups&func=show&cat=$1&grp=$2 [NC,L]

But when i tried going to www.mywebsite.com/domain_alias/{catid}/{grpid}

I keep on getting redirected to a particular profile page and not my groupjive page.

Wondered where have i gone wrong here..

No idea, you probably have a conflicting rewrite rule. You really need to add something unique to the URL that's specific to GJ or you'll end up having conflicting rewrite rules. Example as follows.

domain/groups/catid/grpid
