CB, Joomla, HostGator was created by mark11725
Hello all - I am a newbie at this...

1. Is anyone using CB on Hostgator? I tried to upload it yesterday for an install and it just kept timing out.

2. What is the overall impression of Hostgator as a CB host?

Thank you!

Mark

Probably upload memory limits. If you're trying to install our quickstart package then please ensure upload limits allow for at least 6mb uploads.

Can't help you here, we don't review hosts.

Thank you

I just checked with HostGator and they said my file sizes were well within any limits. They also check and did not see any errors in their logs.

You need to be more specific as to what you're trying to upload. If it timesout it's a timeout issue, memory issue, or upload limit. Ensure all are set as needed. Typically a timeout of 60, memory limit of 64mb, and upload limit of 8mb should be ok. Ensure debug mode and maximum error reporting is enabled in Joomla global configuration so errors are exposed.
