Hello to you,

I have an issue with user registration.
My site is : cosmesisunrise.it/nuovo2012/

When a new user registers , everything goes on ok; the user fill fields, receives email with confirmation link, the user clicks on the link and the account is activated.

The problem starts when the new user tries to login (the login form keeps on saying incorrect username or password.

The only way to login is to request a new password set by the system.
Basically the Site somehow does not save the password entered by the user during registration.

The Authorized input is set to "Any string"
Joomla version 2.5.7
Community Builder 1.8.1
PHP 5.3

It's probably saving as plaintext. This was an issue in I believe CB Auto Actions or maybe a few other plugins. They've all been fixed, please review what incubator plugins you have installed and update them all to latest.

Thank you for your reply.

I have check my site.
The only incubator plugin i have is the Auto Actions plugin, I have updated it to the latest version 3.1.1, but the issue still remains.

When I unpublish the Auto Actions that I have created, the registration process works perfectly; it seems that I can not get it to work (the password does not save) with the auto actions.

What I am doing with the auto actions is the following :
If the user inserts a particular code in a text field during the registration process, he or she is assign to a particular joomla group. The auto actions work, it is just that the password of the user is not saved.


Please help.

Disable your auto action, but keep CB Auto Actions enabled and try again to see if issue persists. Check within _users database table and see if password is storing plaintext or if is completely blank. Please also provide a screenshot of your auto action configuration.
