How to modify router.php

Hello,

I am trying to control the URL path of the SEFURLs generated from the router.php in the comprofiler folder.

I would like to show the profiles on root level like: domain.tld/profile
Ideally I would like to ad even key words or field values to the URL such as: domain.tld/profile_ID_SBSUBSPLAN

How to approache this?
1. Write a system plug in
2. Modfify the comprofiler router.php

We don't support core edits, so we can't help you with this. Easiest solution is using a 3rd party SEF extension and let it to do the rewrite for you. Alternative is to use htaccess mod_rewrite usage to rewrite the URLs. Another option is custom 404 file.
