[SOLVED] Date dropdownboxes empty on registration form

Hi, i am new to comunity builder and have a problem i could not find any post about.
For some the date dropdown boxes fields shown on registration form for date of birth are not prefilled
and since the date of birth is mandetory they cannot register to our site
Also the calendar is not clickable when this happens, so they cant use that either.

Anyone knows why this can happen or can give me a hint on what setting to check so the dat dropdownboxes for day month and year are always filled?

We use version 1.9 of CB
I am from Holland so our dat format is dd - mm - yyyy
On the form I have set it as date , min year shown -100, max year shown + 25, display on profile as full date, display date only

Press F12 in Chrome or Firefox and click the Console tab. Now refresh the page (F5) and see if any red errors are in the console. If there is then you've fatal JS errors breaking the date fields usage. Note for date fields the first value of each dropdown is empty as they need to select a date. The hint to fill it is the registration error saying it's required and the required icon directly next to it.

thanks for the responce, i cannot simulate the problem my self
the problem is they only have the first empty fields and calender is not working either
I will ask one user that has the problem to do as you said and also will ask if they have javascript installed as I know not everyone has

I applied the bugfix for IE8 that you pointed me too, (take code out for curvy corners)
Chrome console did not have any info when pressing F5

the fix for IE8 also seems to have solved the problem for Google Chrome version 30.0.1599.101 m
Several users that had the problem confirmed its fixed now
