When I install 'com_comprofiler' from Joomla installer to upgrade Community Builder from 1.9.0 to 1.9.1, I got an error message as attached.
It saying (Translation from jp to en by me)
"Cannot copy selected file
JInstaller::install: Copy Failed:From <span>/</span>var<span>/</span>www/html/tmp/install_534ba019b2b4/plugin.class.php To <span>/</span>var<span>/</span>www/html/administrator/components/com_comprofiler/plugin.class.php
"
After that site went down, then I checked httpd errorlog to see what problems are. The followings are the logs which seems to be related width the problem;
PHP Warning: include_once(<span>/</span>var<span>/</span>www/html/administrator/components/com_comprofiler/plugin.foundation.php): failed to <span>open</span> stream: No such file or directory in <span>/</span>var<span>/</span>www/html/components/com_comprofiler/plugin/user/plug_cbpaidsubscriptions/cbpaidsubscriptions.sysplug.php on line 82, referer: [mysite]
PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function cbimport() in /var/www/html/components/com_comprofiler/plugin/user/plug_cbpaidsubscriptions/cbpaidsubscriptions.sysplug.php on line 83

I did upgraded CB in dev. server and it went succeeded. I'm struggled with this happened in live one.
My environment:

Looks like some sort of permissions issue on your live site preventing the files from moving from Joomlas tmp folder. Review your Joomla file structure using FTP and ensure tmp folder is writable.
