I use a field for zip-codes with an integer number field. East germany zip-codes are for example: 02565. After saving the "0" is deleted and "2565" is still there.
I need the search function "Search between xx and yy", so I can´t use a normal text field for displaying the zip-code.
Is there a way to "allow" 0 as a first digit? If there is no way in CB field, can we solve it directly in the mysql database?
02565 is not a valid PHP int value. Integer field typecases to int, which is limited to PHP formatting (doesn't allow leading 0). I suggest using a Text field then using custom regex validation of /\d+/ to force it to only validate for digits.
