Non-registered can't see the link at all unless you're meaning a Joomla menu item. If it's a Joomla menu item then you can create a menu item to registration and use the Guest view access level usage so only non-registered users can see it. Aside from that no you can't add a redirect there as there's no trigger to act on at that time. You'd have to modify the showGroupEdit function and change its not authorized redirect.
